Year 6 visit Buckingham Palace
To kick off our Monarchy topic, Year 6 visited Buckingham Palace and had the chance to participate in a fantastic creative writing workshop in the Queen’s Gallery. The children had their own personal tour of the Royal Mews and saw the range of carriages the Queen has chosen to ride in for her various celebrations. Our personal favourite was the Diamond Jubilee State Coach which was covered in delicate gold designs. The children also held a mini coronation where some of Escher and Kahlo class dressed up. It was a fantastic day of Royalty!
