Mentally Healthy School

On Wednesday 18th December 2019, parents and staff came together to create our vision statement as a mentally healthy school. 

First, we looked at existing vision statements from all walks of life in order to identify language we could use...

Next, we chose our favourite words and phrases individually...

 Then we negotiated with the people around us to create a 17-word vision statement for us as a mentally healthy school. 

'protect' 'compassion' 'believe' 'thrive' 'nurture' 'support'
There were key words that kept cropping up that we all felt were important.

Then we drafted our statements in groups before comparing and combing to reach our final statement...

'We foster an inclusive, thriving and safe environment that empowers, supports and nurtures everyone's mental health.'
