Author Tony Bradman visits Year 5
Year 5 were lucky enough to spend the day with Tony Bradman, author of the children’s novel, ‘Viking Boy’ (among many others). We discovered how Tony finds his inspiration for his brilliant stories and the research that is involved before writing a new book. He gave us tips for building suspense and surprise as well as how to develop characters. He was kind enough to sign our reading records and expressed how important it was for us all to read if we want to someday become great writers ourselves. Tony even shared a story about meeting Roald Dahl at a birthday party once.
Fantastic stories shared and some very well thought out questions by the children. An enriching and inspiring experience for us all!
