Google Classroom
Google Classroom has been set up for the children to share their learning both in school and at home. We began using this platform in March 2020 at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to develop and navigate this way of working for children, parents and staff. Thank you for bearing with us and thank you in advance for your ongoing support.
Children who are required to isolate at home due their own positive test result, will be able to access their work through Google Classroom, if they are well enough to do so. All children have logged in from school and know how to do this but if you are having difficulty logging in from home, or your child is new to our school, please use the information below to help. If issues remain, please contact the school office on 020 8858 0394 or email info@millennium-maritime.org
To log into Google Classroom, they will need to log into their Google account using the details they use at school to log into their Chrome book.
E.g. Freddy Jones
His Google account login is: jonef453.203@mpsmat.org
His password has been shared with him separately.
Once you are logged into your Google account, you will need to click the GMail icon (usually in the top right). In the inbox you will find an email inviting you to join your classroom - just accept the invite! Once you’ve accessed the Classroom once, you’ll be able to access it in future (providing you’re logged into your Google account) by clicking the waffle icon in the top right of the screen (pictured below).
If you have a smartphone or tablet, there is a free Google Classroom app which is much simpler to login to and you may need the classroom code to login with - plesae contact the school office for this information.
If you're having trouble logging in, Amy and Laura have made a short video to help.
Once you're logged in, it should be pretty simple to find your way around but if you are having any difficulties, Jordan has put together three short videos to help you out - please be aware that not all the content she demonstrates will be used by all year groups.
